Àdduna means 'Earth and all life upon it' in Wolof, the main language in Senegal - and our Àdduna necklace creates a unique world of texture to wear around your neck.
Made entirely by hand, from natural or recycled materials - we make this piece by pouring 100% recycled silver into a hand-made mould of beach sand.
As we make a new mould for every piece, each pendant has its own unique texture - like a fingerprint from the coast. We can even use sand from a beach that means something to you, for an extra sentimental piece!
On one side, we hand-file some of the texture to be smooth - to create contrast between the dappled light of the earth-like texture and the soft smooth silver of the sky.
On the other side, we leave the sand texture in full - so you can choose which side you want to wear, each day.
